The Wang Lab has been awarded a $452,000 grant from the NSF BRC-BIO program.

This grant will support our research on how the id1 allele silences active Ac transposons. The focus is on understanding how epigenetic TE silencing is initiated and maintained in response to developmental signals. The project also emphasizes student involvement, diversity, and educational outreach at Hofstra University.
