We brought three outstanding posters this semester!

Zuhair: “Effect of mop1 Mutation on Epigenetic Silencing Induced by AcKiller sRNAs in Active Ac Elements in Maize”

Aaron: “id4/AcK2-Mediated Control of Ac Transposon Activity: Linking Small RNAs, DNA Methylation, and Histone Modification”

Phaedra and Brianna: “Post-Induction Maintenance of Transposon Silencing in Maize”

Each project represents 2 - 3 semesters of dedication and hard work. I couldn’t be more proud of you all! And a special shout-out to our founding lab member, Tej - always great chatting with you and sharing some fun moments along the way! 🎉

A great moment captured by the university photographer: Phaedra presenting the poster (with Brianna on the other side).

Our two posters from Aaron (left) and Zuhair (right), representing three semesters of work, including a productive summer. They presented phenotypic, mutant, small RNA, DNA methylation, and gene expression data. Two complete research stories!
